Ethno Sweden 2008

Wednesday, June 18th, 2008
from June 18, 2008 to July 3, 2008

There will be almost 100 people coming to Ethno Sweden this summer! On June 26 the 19th Ethno camp will open its doors in Rattvik, Sweden. Time for another great week of great music and great friends! Nepal and India are two newcomers at Ethno 2008. We can´t hardly wait to meet these foreign guests and take part of their music! Tanzania, Mozambique, USA, Chile, Jordan, Spain, Portugal, England, Scotland, Macedonia, Belgium and Norway are also sending people - and we still hope to get participants from Cyprus, Palestine and Turkey! The organization looks pretty much the same as in 2007. 1 - The place is the same: the Rattvik school in Rattvik, some 300 km north-west of Stockholm. A perfect place in a nice little town, with the fantastic Lake Siljan just around the corner. 2 - the leaders will also be the same as in 2007. Nina Anderberg and Mattias Pérez with the help of Susanne Lind, Ian Carr and Kevin Henderson. 3 - the concerts will be the same as last year: some concerts outdors in Rattvik, a big concert at the Musik vid Siljan festival and then music at the famous Bingsjo fiddle festival!
