The European Youth Forum was independently established by youth organizations and is made up of more than 90 National Youth Councils and International Non-Governmental Youth Organizations, which are federations of youth organizations in themselves. It brings together tens of millions of young people from all over Europe, organized in order to represent their common interests.

It started during the Falun Folkmusic Festival in 1989. Next year Ethno Sweden will be arranged for the 20th time. Nowadays the international folk music camp lives a happy life in Rattvik in central Sweden in co-operation with amongst opthers the big music festival Musik Vid Siljan. The jubilee year will of course be celebrated during the Ethno 2009, July 2-9. Nothing is yet decided, many things depend on the funding but JM Sweden discusses inviting old leaders and participants for a jubilee concert and many more ideas.  Read all about it soon on www.ethno.se.
